DPF EXPERTS — 60-DAY DPF CLEANING WARRANTY TERMS
1. About this warranty
These terms apply only to the £399 DPF Clean & Protect package supplied by DPF Experts.
The warranty begins on the date the original DPF cleaning service is completed and lasts for 60 calendar days. It applies only to the vehicle registration shown on the original invoice and cannot be transferred to another vehicle or customer.
This is an additional cleaning warranty. It does not replace, restrict or affect the customer’s statutory rights, including the right to have the original service performed with reasonable care and skill.
2. What is included
If the same DPF becomes blocked again during the 60-day warranty period, the warranty includes:
- One free return call-out
- A diagnostic assessment of the reported blockage
- One repeat clean of the same DPF, where a repeat clean is safe and appropriate
The warranty provides a maximum of one free return call-out and one repeat DPF clean. Completing a repeat clean does not restart or extend the original 60-day period.
3. Diagnosed faults and required repairs
During the original appointment, DPF Experts may identify faults capable of causing or contributing to another DPF blockage.
Any such faults must be clearly recorded on the customer’s diagnostic report as “warranty-required repairs”.
The customer must arrange for these faults to be properly repaired and retain reasonable evidence of the repairs, such as an invoice, receipt or repair report.
If warranty-required faults have not been repaired, the 60-day cleaning warranty will not cover a repeat blockage caused or contributed to by those faults.
If the customer requests and agrees to a return visit while the warranty is not valid because the recorded faults have not been repaired, a £150 call-out and diagnostic charge will apply. The customer will be informed of this charge before the non-warranty visit is arranged.
4. What is not covered
This cleaning warranty does not include:
- Replacement of the DPF unit
- A DPF that is cracked, melted, internally collapsed, excessively damaged or otherwise beyond safe cleaning
- Replacement sensors, pipes, injectors, EGR components, turbochargers or other vehicle parts
- Mechanical, electrical, engine-management or exhaust-system repairs
- Labour or recovery costs other than the one included return call-out and repeat clean
- Problems caused by accident damage, contamination, unauthorised modifications or deliberate interference with the emissions system
- A repeat blockage caused or contributed to by a warranty-required fault that has not been repaired
- More than one return visit or repeat clean
A DPF that is physically or internally damaged may require replacement. The cost of supplying or fitting a replacement DPF is not included.
5. Making a warranty claim
The customer should contact DPF Experts as soon as reasonably practicable after becoming aware that the DPF may have blocked again and within the 60-day warranty period.
The customer must provide:
- Their name and contact details
- The vehicle registration
- The original invoice or booking reference
- Details of any warning lights or symptoms
- Evidence that any warranty-required repairs have been completed
DPF Experts will assess the vehicle and explain whether the problem falls within this cleaning warranty. No £150 charge will be made without the customer being told about and agreeing to a chargeable visit beforehand.
6. Original service concerns
Nothing in these warranty terms excludes or limits DPF Experts’ responsibility where the original service was not carried out with reasonable care and skill or where the customer has another remedy under consumer law.
The exclusions in this warranty apply only to the additional 60-day warranty benefit and must not be used to remove a customer’s statutory rights.
